An Open Letter to the Overconnected

Being accessible 24/7 is so last year, it’s time to go DND on life

We’re all living in a world where notifications are the new normal.

From our DMs, texts, and emails, there’s always something vying for our attention.

And every time we get a notification, we’re rewarded with a hit of dopamine, making it seem like there’s pressure to respond immediately.

But it’s time to break the cycle and enter a new era of being in “Do Not Disturb” mode.

It’s time to take back the reins and respond when we’re actually available. And this year, I’ve made it one of my biggest intentions to not be responsive to everything immediately and to take more time offline.

Decluttering isn’t just about physical clutter, it’s also about mental clutter.

The constant noise from everyone can clutter our ability to think, feel clear-headed, and enjoy life.

So, whether it’s a mindset shift or actually setting “Do Not Disturb” on your phone, make it a priority to be less available to others and take more time for yourself.

Become unbothered by what everyone else is doing and focus on your own thing. And when it’s time to check in, respond on your own terms. So, go ahead, put yourself on DND mode and let the world wait.
