Yesterday, I woke up ready to write today’s article.

But let’s be real, I hit a block and didn’t know what to write.

So, at midnight, I thought to myself “screw it! I’m gonna catch some z’s and set my alarm for 4 am to write after I wake up refreshed.”

Well, friends…

4 am rolled around and my alarm went off. Snoozed it to 4:30 am, then 5 am, then 6 am…

And now it’s 7 am. Sound familiar?

This article was inspired by that experience of mine. A familiar cycle of hitting snooze and feeling guilty about it.

1. You Set Your Deadlines

I’m not a morning person, let’s be honest. My snooze-button obsession is proof of that.

But it wasn’t until I had a realization last night, that I finally understood why I was waking up before dawn.

You see, I had set a rule for myself that an article had to go out every Monday at 8 am sharp.
